Mauricio Ruffy landed a spectacular spinning heel kick to knock out King Green at UFC 313, and video shows he saw that opening during camp.
The Fighting Nerds lightweight, now 3-0 in the UFC with two finishes — and $100,000 in performance bonuses —, posted on social media footage of his preparation for the biggest fight of his career, side by side with the UFC 313 finish of Green on Saturday night.

“A fight many times is the reflex of a work well done,” Ruffy wrote.
The 28-year-old Brazilian talent handed Green only the sixth knockout defeat of his 51-fight career. Ruffy is now 12-1 as a professional with 11 of his wins coming by way of knockout, including the third-round stoppage over Raimond Magomedaliev during Dana White’s Contender Series that earned him a UFC contract.
Green has now lost two in a row, to Ruffy and Paddy Pimblett, and three of his past four. His UFC record now stands at 13-12-1 with one no contest.
Following the victory, Ruffy talked to the media at T-Mobile Arena to react to his highlight-reel knockout and what’s next, calling for a fight with veteran Beneil Dariush.
