Slain Enugu-Born Brazilian Citizen Set For Burial March 15

He was allegedly shot dead on January 12, 2025 in Brazil following a little quarrel with a colleague
He will be buried at his hometown, Umuoshene, Enugu-Ezike, Igbo-Eze North local government area of Enugu state on March 15, 2025

Grief , pain and frustration can only describe the mood of the people of Umushene, Umuida in Igbo-Eze North local government area of Enugu state following the arrival of the remains of one of their sons who was allegedly brutally murdered in Brazil.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that Felix Echezona alias Federal Mgbada was said to have been killed with a gun in Brazil on January 12, 2025 following a little misunderstanding with his colleague in Brazil.

Though details of his alleged killing was still shrouded in secrecy, our reporter equally gathered that since the incident occurred, the landlocked village in Igbo-Eze North of Enugu state has been thrown into mourning and deep grief.

According to burial arrangement released by family members, his remains will arrive in Nsukka mortuary on March 12th, 2025.

Friday 14th March 2025, there will be all night wake keep at his father’s compound, Umuoshene Umuida Enugu Ezike from 6pm.

Saturday 15th March 2025, Body leaves Bishop Shanahan hospital Nsukka for lying in state at his father’s compound Umuoshene Umuida Enugu Ezike at  9am.

Requiem mass at St Theresa’s Catholic parish Umuoshene Umuida Enugu Ezike at 10am.

Interment follows immediately at his father’s compound Umuoshene Umuida Enugu Ezike.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that Felix left Nigeria in 2012 to look for greener pastures and since then has not visited home.

In emotion-laden tribute shortly after his alleged killing by one of his friends in Nigeria, Mr. Chijinkem Ugwuanyi and made available to our reporter, he said that he was greatly pained by his untimely brutal death.

“You left this country 13yrs ago with Jack Bahia “Boy Mamah”.

“We kept each other in touch since then till now promising to visit home since then only to get this sad news this morning through your younger brother  Engr Stephen Chuks Apeh

“So after 13yrs without coming back to your country or your home town Enugu-Ezike na this kind news we dey hear?

“God forbid bad thing. No be our plans be this na!

“Losing a brother and friend like you is one of the saddest things that can happen to me at this moment. I grief this difficult time.

“May God bless your  soul the only Federal man. My thoughts are also with your family at this Hard Time.

“There are no words to express my sorrow at this moment. May you find comfort in the loving memories we shared together when you dey alive.

“Keep Resting my Federal Guy.”
