Saudi Green Initiative Forum
Saudi Arabia has announced the programs and themes of the fourth Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) Forum, according to Saudi Gazette.
SGI Forum
Set to kick off on December 3 in Riyadh, the forum will shed light on the Kingdom’s commitment to adopting collaborative and pragmatic solutions to secure a greener future.
The forum will coincide with the 16th session of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP16).
Therefore, it will represent a valuable platform gathering global leaders, climate experts, senior government officials, and industry CEOs, offering an important opportunity to address climate change challenges.
Moreover, the 2024 SGI Forum will include ministerial discussions, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and conversations with prominent leaders.

Crucially, the authorities unveiled various speakers, as follows:

Furthermore, the forum will feature the participation of Leading experts from global multilateral and environmental organizations, such as the World Bank and the Convention on Wetlands.

With a special focus on accelerating the pace towards a greener future, the event will center around five key pillars:

SGI Pavilion
Importantly, the forum will boast the SGI Pavilion, located inside the UNCCD COP16 Green Zone, providing visitors with an immersive experience full of interaction and activities.
Visitors are welcomed to tour the pavilion every day from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm for the duration of UNCCD COP16, apart from 3-4 December.
Therefore, visitors can tour five zones showcasing Saudi Arabia’s approach towards:
Reducing Emissions
Growing 10 Billion Trees
Protecting Nature
Promoting Sustainability
Building a Sustainable Future.
In addition, SGI Pavilion this year boasts a Kids Zone, designed specifically to inspire Saudi Arabia’s youth to become environmental heroes.
