Victor Osimhen has reportedly given Paris Saint-Germain the green light to pursue his signature as he seeks a move away from Napoli.
However, the deal for the Super Eagles striker is proving to be far from straightforward. PSG reignited their interest in Osimhen this summer after failing to secure him from Napoli a year ago.
Despite making two offers exceeding £100 million, Napoli previously insisted that Osimhen would not leave for anything less than his £130 million release clause.
Following a disappointing season for Napoli, the Serie A club have now placed Osimhen on the market and is eyeing Romelu Lukaku as a potential replacement for the Nigerian striker.
According to Foot Mercato, Napoli have lowered their asking price to £110 million, but PSG remain reluctant to meet this new price.
PSG is unwilling to offer more than £80 million for Osimhen and has already rejected a proposal from Napoli, who asked for £90 million plus PSG forward Lee Kang-in.
Osimhen did not reach the heights of last year but still managed to finish in the top three of the 2024 PulseSports30 list.
