Christian Watson appears to be dealing with an ankle injury.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the “early belief” is that the Green Bay Packers wide receiver suffered a high ankle sprain during his team’s Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

He was carted off during the second quarter and did not return. Schultz reported that he will get more tests on Monday that will help determine the severity of the injury.
He suffered the injury after a Jordan Love pass to Watson was intercepted by Vikings linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill, who fell on Watson’s left leg as both fell to the ground.
Watson went to the injury tent but would quickly be carted to the locker room and would not head back to the sideline.
Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported that Watson was not seen in the locker room following the 31-29 loss but that “initial tests did not indicate fractures.” Packers head coach Matt LeFleur also confirmed that Watson believes the injury is “just a sprain.”
Watson has made five catches for 80 yards and a touchdown thus far in the 2024 season. He did not record any catches before exiting Sunday’s game.
He played nine games in 2023, making 28 catches for 422 yards and five touchdowns. He is a solid option for Love and the Packers offense and the team will need to figure out how to replace him if he misses significant time.
